What is Lignosus rhinocerus?

Tiger’s Milk Mushroom is also known as Cendawan Susu Harimau in Malay and 虎乳芝 in Chinese. The name of Tiger’s Milk Mushroom is based on a myth. According to folklore, Tiger’s Milk Mushroom is based on a story in which the relatively uncommon fungus grows on the spot where the tigress drips her milk while feeding her cubs. They will consume this mushroom when they go hunting because this mushroom able to provide them with energy like a tiger. In Malaysia, Tiger Milk Mushroom as a medicinal mushroom is also known as National Treasure because of its nutritional and medicinal benefits.
